Position Overview
Axle is seeking a Project Director that will provide overall contract management and technical leadership for task areas supporting NIH. This role ensures effective coordination across computing services data management systems design and analytic initiatives.
This opportunity supports comprehensive computing services across multiple task areas including project management data management computer programming computing infrastructure website development systems design statisticalmethodology evaluation ofNIHdata and projects and technical/administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall contract execution oversight and technical leadership.
- Serve asprimaryinterface with theNIHCOR and Contracting Officer (CO).
- Oversee management of all task order efforts.
- Ensure successful execution of project plans schedules budgets and deliverables.
- Lead kickoff meetings and performance reviews.
- Manage risk mitigation staffing and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience managing large federal IT or biomedical contracts.
- Demonstrated leadership in computing data management or analytic environments.
- Strong stakeholder communication and contract oversight experience.
Education
- Ten (10) years of progressive successful experience managing complex projects.
- Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Business or other related medical scientific or technical discipline.
- A Masters degree can be substituted with fifteen (15) years of proven experience managing complex projects and a Bachelors degree.

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidates experience qualifications skills and location.
