Position Summary
La Crosse Milling Company is a trusted leader in premium oat and grain ingredients. We are seeking an energetic results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead growth initiatives strengthen customer partnerships and expand our market presence. This remote-based position offers home-office flexibility with regular travel to customers trade shows and occasional visits to headquarters. You will strike a balance between hunting for new business and nurturing our long-standing partnerships. You are not just selling a product; you are providing ingredient solutions to some of the biggest names in the food industry.Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Proactively identify and land new accounts to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Account Management: Manage and grow existing customer relationships collaborating closely with our Cochrane-based Customer Service team to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Pricing Strategy: Work closely with the Cochrane-based team on contract pricing management ensuring profitability while remaining competitive in the B2B Oat Ingredients Market.
- Marketing & Budgeting: Lead marketing budget collaborating with the Cochrane-based team on website design and advertising campaigns and selection and management of industry trade shows.
- Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to inform our sales approach.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven success in B2B sales preferably in food ingredients milling or other agricultural processing. Experience with commodity-based pricing models and the ability to navigate market volatility to protect company margins while providing customer stability.
- Education: Bachelors degree in business Agribusiness Marketing or a closely related field is preferred.
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel 3040% for client visits trade shows and occasional trips to our headquarters in Cochrane WI.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to manage complex contract negotiations and marketing budgets.
- Communication: Strong communication negotiation and self-management skills
- Self-Starter: The discipline to manage a remote schedule and hit targets without daily handholding.
This position includes paid travel time for business-related travel along with mileage reimbursement for authorized use of a personal vehicle at the current IRS mileage rate. Travel may include customer visits business development meetings networking events community involvement training and other sales and marketing activities. Approved travel-related expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Company policy.
Compensation
Starting Salary: $70000 commensurate with experience
