Location: Plano TX
Duration: 13 Weeks (Travel Assignment)
Schedule & Shift
- Day Shift: 6:30 AM 5:00 PM
- 10-hour shifts 4 days/week (42 hours/week)
- Rotating day off each week
- On-Call Required: 1214 days/month
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a high-acuity Trauma Level II environment. This role requires hands-on experience in neuro-interventional and stroke procedures within a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate is adaptable detail-oriented and comfortable handling both scheduled and emergency cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures including neuro vascular and general IR cases
- Operate imaging equipment to ensure high-quality diagnostic results
- Monitor patients before during and after procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control protocols
- Administer contrast media and assist with procedural sedation
- Respond to emergency call cases within required timeframes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in trauma and stroke care
- Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and patient records
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and departmental standards
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT Certification (required)
- Active Texas MRT License or eligibility
- BLS Certification (AHA required)
- 25 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Hands-on experience in Neuro IR and stroke cases (required)
- Experience in a Trauma Level II or high-acuity setting
- Ability to take frequent on-call shifts with a 30-minute response time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a comprehensive stroke center
- Strong background in vascular and neuro-interventional procedures
- ACLS Certification (preferred)
- Strong critical thinking communication and teamwork skills
