Job Summary
Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital
We are seeking Casual Food Services Assistants (FSA) to join the Catering Services team. Shifts are rostered across morning (7:00am2:00pm) and evening (2:30pm7:30pm) with some weekend work included.
In this role you will assist with all aspects of food preparation equipment handling and the delivery and service of meals to patients caregivers and visitors. You will work across various areas of the Catering Services Department while maintaining high standards of hygiene safety and customer service.
The Position
Assists with the preparation plating delivery of meals and snacks to patients and staff to various locations throughout the Hospital.
Prepares maintains and assists with the provision of meals and snacks in the staff dining room.
Assists with the washing of cutlery crockery and glassware.
Assists with the washing up of large heavy-duty pots pans and other kitchen utensils.
Observes and practices all aspects of food kitchen and personal hygiene.
Assists with general kitchen hygiene washing of walls floors refrigerators etc and other areas as requested.
You will have knowledge of all areas of kitchen hygiene and ability to interpret menus correctly.
To be successful you will some knowledge of vegetable salad and sandwich preparation for large numbers and good interpersonal skills.

We can offer you
Salary: $33.40 to $34.76per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation
