Senior Communications Advisor
Job Summary
Main responsibilities
Strategic insight and corporate analysis
Synthesise complex analysis into clear strategic insights and practical guidance to inform senior leadership decision-making and strengthen communications practices.
Deepen the understanding of OECDs audiences and the external communications environment.
Ensure the robustness and strategic relevance of analysis of analytical frameworks and guidance used across the ONE COM function.
Contribute to the Divisions strategic planning by dentifying trends gaps and opportunities and integrating emerging approaches and technologies.
Communications impact and strategic learning
Oversee key corporate deliverables assessing the performance of OECD communications.
Help guide the development of organisational frameworks for the evaluation of communications.
Identify strategic lessons from communications performance analysis to inform COM strategies.
Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement through evidence-based evaluation.
Advisory Role
Advise the Head of Division and COM leadership on communications performance reputational risks and strategic priorities.
Coordinate cross-divisional initiatives that strengthen communications standards evaluation and institutional insight.
Contribute to positioning the Division as a corporate reference point for communications impact standards and strategic analysis.
Build strong working relationships with communications teams directorates and senior stakeholders across the Organisation.
Qualifications :
Academic Background
Advanced university degree in communications public policy political science international relations or a related field.
Professional Background
At least 8 years progressively responsible experience in strategic communications policy advisory impact/evaluation or institutional strategy roles including experience advising senior leadership.
Experience in communications evaluation or strategic analysis.
Experience supporting senior leadership through strategic analysis reporting or institutional planning.
Familiarity with international policy environments or multilateral organisations would be an advantage.
Proven capabilities to deliver clear and compelling written and oral presentations and translate complex material into actionable recommendations.
Sound judgement in politically sensitive or complex institutional environments.
Strategic mindset combining long-term vision and practical implementation.
Good interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong relationships across functional teams in a multicultural environment. Ability to supervise and motivate staff.
Proven experience of leading and influencing the strategic direction of diverse stakeholder groups.
Tools
Familiarity with tools supporting communications analytics audience insights and performance evaluation (e.g. web analytics SEO/GEO social listening data visualisation) would be an advantage.
Core Competencies

Languages
Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other with a commitment to reach a good working level.
Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.

Salary Information
- Monthly salary starts at 9 401 EUR plus allowances based on eligibility exempt of French income tax.
