DGMGM Railway Design
Job Summary
Role Overview:
The Railway Design Head will lead and manage all design functions related to railway infrastructure projects ensuring high-quality compliant and cost-effective engineering solutions. The role involves strategic planning team leadership and coordination with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the complete design and engineering activities for railway projects including track alignment stations and associated infrastructure.
- Oversee civil structural track signaling and electrical design coordination.
- Ensure compliance with international and Indian railway standards (IRS RDSO UIC etc.).
- Manage and review detailed project reports (DPRs) drawings and technical specifications.
- Provide technical guidance in alignment design geometric design and track structure.
- Coordinate with clients consultants contractors and government authorities.
- Drive value engineering optimization and innovation in design.
- Ensure timely delivery of design milestones in line with project schedules.
- Lead mentor and develop a high-performing design team.
- Support bid preparation technical proposals and project planning.
- Handle risk assessment and ensure quality assurance in all design outputs.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in railway design standards and codes.
- Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D Bentley OpenRail MicroStation.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in handling large-scale railway/metro/high-speed rail projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional certifications (if any) will be an added advantage.
