Sycamores provides a comprehensive continuum of services to over 37000 children and families annually through a network of facilities stretching across the greater Los Angeles area including the San Fernando Valley San Gabriel Valley South Los Angeles Commerce and the Antelope Valley in addition to providing mobile crisis service across the entire Riverside : California Accreditation: Joint Commission Job Description: The Addiction Psychiatrist works alongside a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals peers support specialists drug and alcohol counselors. housing specialists occupational therapists and licensed vocational nurses/licensed psychiatric technicians. The psychiatrist provides comprehensive psychiatric and addiction treatment services within clinic and telehealth settings. Primary responsibilities include conducting psychiatric and substance use disorder evaluations formulating diagnoses and developing evidencebased treatment plans for individuals with cooccurring mental health and substance use include:Providing ongoing medication management including prescribing and monitoring Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT).Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support integrated recoveryoriented utilization review medication monitoring and qualityassurance clients families and caregivers on medicationrelated and addictiontreatment with juvenile courts care coordinators and community partners as needed regarding treatment role reports to the Medical Director and the Assistant Vice President of Medication Support Services. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited medical school and satisfactory completion of a psychiatric residency program approved by the AMA or the American Osteopathic Association. Must be a Board-Certified Psychiatrist or board eligible. Must possess current California MD License Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner CA license DEA registration and NPI number confirmation. Must maintain a minimum of $1000000.00/$of professional liability insurance. Knowledge of newer medications preferred. Ability and comfortable with use of technology is required. Bilingual/Bi-cultural Spanish speaking is desired but not required. Comfort prescribing Medications for Addiction Treatment is required.
