Domain HWH a family winegrowing endeavor built to last for generations is part of Pacific Union Co. The Domain has evolved through the decades and comprises three Napa Valley properties that form its pillars: Harlan Estate founded in 1984; BOND founded in 1996; and Promontory founded in 2008. The Mascot a wine made from the younger vines of the three estateswas established in 2012. Each of these undertakings is dedicated to the understanding of our land and to faithfully translating the respective characters of the individual properties into their wines.
About the role
The Financial Analyst role is responsible for delivering financial analysis forecasting reporting and business insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization. This position partners with various departments to provide accurate financial reporting performance analysis budgeting support and forward-looking projections.
This role is entrusted with
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial reporting packages for leadership
- Analyze financial performance across channels and provide actionable insights
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts including revenue projections expense modeling and margin analysis
- Perform variance analysis and communicate findings to management
- Partner with Accounting during month-end close to ensure timeliness and accuracy
- Support annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes
- Assist in developing financial related models to evaluate business initiatives pricing strategies and operational changes
- Business Analytics
- Analyze operational performance to identify trends risks and growth opportunities
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc performance reports for leadership teams
- Translate complex data into clear and concise presentations for stakeholders
- Support strategic initiatives by providing data-driven insights and financial impact analysis
- Review and validate reporting including SQL-based queries and data extracts to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Process Improvement & Data Optimization
- Review accounting and operational processes to recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and streamline financial workflows
- Parter with Business Intelligence team members to improve dashboard design and efficiency
- Gain knowledge of companys data pipelines to suggest enhancements
- Support implementation of system improvements and reporting upgrades
Best aligned with candidates who possess
- Minimum BS in business analytics accounting or another related field (requirement can be met with relevant working experience as deemed sufficient by the line manager)
- 2 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis preferred
- Must understand how data insights align with business goals
- Requires strong computer literacy skills advanced Excel skills and competency in basic Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with ERP systems (Business Central experience a plus)
- Excellent technical and analytical skills with and familiarity with Information Systems (SQL experience prioritized)
- Requires strong interpersonal skills and an intense desire to work as a team member
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must know how to set priorities to meet deadlines
- Must be accurate detail oriented and possess neat work habits
- Must have initiative enthusiasm and self-motivation
- Ability to review complex data reports and analysis in verbal and written communication with non-accounting personnel
- Wine industry experience preferred
Physical requirements
- Primarily performs analytical and reporting tasks in a stationary (seated) office setting.
- Frequently operates standard office equipment such as computer keyboard mouse telephone and printer.
- Occasionally moves about the office to access files equipment or meeting spaces.
- Occasionally positions self to transport light office materials (e.g. bankers boxes or files) as needed to support work functions.
- Vision (with or without correction) sufficient to read printed materials and screens; hearing (with or without correction) adequate for communication in person and by phone.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The pay scale for this position is $35-$39 hourly. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors including but not limited to candidate qualifications skills experience education location and alignment with market data.
