The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations ensuring accurate financial reporting compliance with accounting standards and effective management of construction-specific financial processes such as job costing project accounting and progress billing. This role supervises accounting staff and works closely with project managers and executive leadership to support financial decision-making and maintain the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll and general ledger.
- Oversee construction job costing ensuring accurate allocation of labor materials subcontractor costs and overhead to specific projects.
- Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with project forecasting cash flow management and financial planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 5 years accounting experience
- Construction industry experience
$70000 - $90000 a year
