Job Summary
To provide leadership for the implementation of the Scouting Americas licensing activities and programs.
Job Summary:
Manages licenses and integrates the strategic marketing objectives into a licensing plan for internal and external licensing. Oversees the licensor relationship process ensuring the success of licensed products. Develops and maintains good working relationships between the Scouting America and licensees.
Essential Functions:
- Directs the daily administration of operations of licensed products for all licensing programs.
- Manages the development and merchandising of licensed products that reflect core values of the brand.
- Oversees the creation of product assortment and merchandise plans in collaboration with the licensee.
- Prepares licensing proposals as well as business plan presentations of sales/negotiation opportunities.
- Identifies and secures placement opportunities across key retail channels (mass specialty etc.)
- Develops strategies and tactics to establish and reconnect the Scouting America brand with consumers and members.
- Conducts necessary research and competitive market reviews.
- Enforce licensing agreements brand guidelines and usage standards.
- Works with Merchandising to facilitate license-in for products developed internally using third-party marks.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 years of experience in licensing as a licensor is required
- Experience with nonprofit licensing preferred
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Knowledge of operational decision making strategic decision making and business acumen
- Skill in compelling communication to drive for results building internal and external partnerships building customer loyalty andmotivated self-starter that takes initiative.
- Knowledge of Scouting America programs preferred
- Resides within driving distance of office location in Charlotte NC
Salary Range: $90000 - $120000 depending on experience.
