Job Summary
A $750 sign-on bonus is being offered to eligible new employees hired into our PCA positionsSchedule:
Days (7am-3pm7am-7pm) Evening (3pm-11pm) and Nights (7pm-7am 11pm-7am)
Mandatory weekend shifts every month.
Holiday rotating schedule.
The Post Partum unit (Blake 13) is seeking a full time 40 hours PCA for rotating day and evening shifts including rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
Only applicants seeking full-time 36-40 hours permanent employment will be strongly considered for an interview.
Experience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 years preferred

Position Summary
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) the Patient Care Associate (PCA) supports the multidisciplinary healthcare team in providing safe compassionate and patient-centered care. PCA assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing dressing feeding and mobility support while promoting comfort and maintaining patient dignity. Responsibilities also include monitoring and documenting vital signs obtaining EKGs drawing blood and responding promptly to patient requests while safeguarding confidentiality and always ensuring patient safety.

Essential Functions
Performs vital signs weights/heights intake and output measurements accurately and within established timeframes and/or as requested
Completes all required documentation in the medical record
Interact effectively with patients and families
Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing dressing feeding and toileting
Assist patients with turning repositioning and transferring between bed and wheelchair as needed
Listen to patient concerns and reports changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Licenses and Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician Basic (Massachusetts) preferred
- Nursing Assistant (LNA Massachusetts) preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong patient/customer service skills
- Ability to lift to 35 pounds
- Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records efficiently.
