Job Description

Performs semi-skilled jobs in a variety of trades including but not limited to maintaining repairing and providing custodial services as assigned for the building academic programs and other college departments to ensure a clean orderly secure and welcoming environment for those in the building as well as ensure proper functioning of the campus.

Salary Range:

$26.77 - $30.81 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of general methods and practices of a variety of trade areas (e.g. mechanics masonry welding electrical plumbing and carpentry) sufficient to assist licensed trades workers and to repair machinery equipment and facilities in a timely and safe manner.
• Knowledge of general methods and practices of custodial duties cleaning chemicals equipment tools and supplies.
• Ability to safely use hand and power hand tools.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain trucks tractors and other ground and road maintenance equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting carrying and bending.
• Communication skills needed to report status of building security and repairs to supervisor.
  

Preferred Qualification

• A Boilers License
• Ability to operate forklift.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety measures related to trades work sufficient to safely and efficiently perform the job duties.
• Adequate skills to operate the facility energy management system and preventative maintenance program.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures such as fire tornadoes bomb threats etc.
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite
