What You Will Do

  • Provide professional consultative support for an organizations records management program including oversight of the full records life cyclecreation maintenance use and dispositionensuring adherence to applicable records policies and standards.

  • Interpret and apply federal records management laws and requirements communicate recordkeeping responsibilities and advise stakeholders on compliance expectations.

  • Conduct records program reviews identify gaps document findings and support continuous improvement activities.

  • Support development review and maintenance of records retention schedules including coordinating concurrence with external oversight bodies such as the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).

  • Participate in strategic planning analysis activities and compliance assessments required by applicable mandates policies and organizational drivers.

  • Deliver training guidance SOPs templates and advisory services to improve organization-wide compliance and understanding of records and information management standards.

  • Support transition to electronic records including understanding of electronic content management system capabilities and electronic records requirements (e.g. electronic messages metadata retention searchability).

  • Assist with development of reports briefings inventories analyses and documentation supporting compliance audits and program management needs. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure records creation maintenance and disposition align with organizational policies federal requirements and best practices.

  • Support litigation hold activities including understanding of preservation requirements for records and electronically stored information (ESI).

  • Perform additional records managementrelated duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

  • Bachelors Degree or Higher.

  • Minimum of THREE (3) years experience supporting a records management program including operational execution documentation standards and records life-cycle oversight.

  • Ability to interpret apply and communicate federal records management laws regulations and policies including recordkeeping requirements and compliance expectations.

  • Experience conducting program reviews assessments or audits related to records management and information governance.

  • Experience assisting with the creation review or maintenance of retention schedules including coordination with NARA or equivalent archival authorities.

  • Strong understanding of electronic records management concepts including electronic messages system capabilities and technology considerations related to compliance.

  • Ability to create SOPs templates checklists and training materials supporting program compliance across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) analytical abilities and organizational skills suited to a compliance-driven environment.

  • Experience developing reports summaries or briefings that communicate risks status and recommendations.

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Familiarity with NARA standards OMB mandates and records transition directives (e.g. M1921 M2307) as referenced in federal records management interview requirements.

  • Experience supporting electronic content management (ECM) initiatives or system implementations related to records and information governance.

  • Background in compliance program management audits or organizational policy development.

  • Experience supporting litigation hold processes ESI preservation or coordination with legal/compliance teams.

  • Experience delivering training leading workshops or conducting briefings for program stakeholders.

  • Certifications or coursework related to records management information governance archival science compliance or related disciplines.

The annual salary range for this position is $74000.00-$124000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets experience and training security clearances licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
