Job Description

• Handle Illinois workers compensation defense matters from initial assignment through resolution
• Manage hearings pre-trials status calls motion practice and case strategy
• Conduct legal research and apply medical and factual analysis to support litigation
• Communicate directly with clients carriers opposing counsel and claim professionals
• Draft reports pleadings correspondence and other case-related documents
• Manage deadlines caseload activity and litigation strategy across multiple files
• Work closely with experienced attorneys while continuing to grow your own independent caseload
• Contribute to strong client relationships through responsiveness sound judgment and practical advice

Qualifications

• 2 years of directly relevant Illinois workers compensation defense experience
• Active Illinois bar license
• Strong writing communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines effectively
• Professional dependable and client-service-oriented approach
• Book of business is a plus but not required
