Job Description
Handle workers compensation matters on behalf of injured workers from intake through resolution
Manage files deadlines and case strategy across an active caseload
Communicate with clients regarding benefits treatment status and next steps
Prepare and review filings applications and other workers compensation documents
Appear for hearings conferences and other proceedings before the relevant board or tribunal
Work with medical records wage information and supporting documentation to advance claims
Negotiate settlements and help drive matters toward favorable outcomes
Collaborate with attorneys paralegals and support staff to move cases efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
3 years of workers compensation attorney experience
Admitted to practice in New York
Strong familiarity with workers compensation claims handling and appearances
Ability to manage files independently and communicate effectively with clients
Organized responsive and comfortable in a fast-paced plaintiff-side environment
Spanish language skills are a plus
