What youll be doing
As a Direct Support Professional you will support adults with disabilities in building independence and participating fully in their communities.
In this role you will:
Support individuals with daily activities personal goals and life skills
Encourage independence dignity and community inclusion
Build positive relationships with individuals families caregivers and community partners
Plan meaningful and engaging activities based on each persons goals and interests
Help individuals connect with their communities through work volunteer and social opportunities
Follow health and safety practices to provide high-quality support
Complete documentation using basic mobile and computer systems
This is a community-based role and includes regular driving between locations.
Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is compassionate dependable and ready to make a positive impact.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license reliable transportation and auto insurance
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must pass a background check
Experience
Previous experience in caregiving social work life skills coaching education or volunteering is a plus but not required.
Skills
Empathy patience and respect for adults with disabilities
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and adaptability to meet individual needs
Basic tech skills including mobile phone use email Microsoft programs and electronic documentation systems
