What youll be doing

As a Direct Support Professional you will support adults with disabilities in building independence and participating fully in their communities.

In this role you will:

• Support individuals with daily activities personal goals and life skills

• Encourage independence dignity and community inclusion

• Build positive relationships with individuals families caregivers and community partners

• Plan meaningful and engaging activities based on each persons goals and interests

• Help individuals connect with their communities through work volunteer and social opportunities

• Follow health and safety practices to provide high-quality support

• Complete documentation using basic mobile and computer systems

This is a community-based role and includes regular driving between locations.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate dependable and ready to make a positive impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid drivers license reliable transportation and auto insurance

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Must pass a background check

Experience
Previous experience in caregiving social work life skills coaching education or volunteering is a plus but not required.

• Empathy patience and respect for adults with disabilities

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility and adaptability to meet individual needs

• Basic tech skills including mobile phone use email Microsoft programs and electronic documentation systems
