Job Summary

The Field Inspection Engineer is responsible for conducting post-installation and maintenance inspections at customer locations to ensure all technical work meets company quality standards and industry best practices.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring service reliability compliance with technical specifications and overall customer satisfaction through detailed inspections testing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Inspection & Quality Assurance

• Conduct daily field visits to residential SME and enterprise client locations after installations or maintenance activities.
• Inspect installations to ensure compliance with company standards technical specifications and quality benchmarks.
• Identify and document faults substandard work or potential risks.

2. Technical Testing & Validation

• Perform necessary technical tests to confirm service functionality signal strength and network performance.
• Verify that installations meet required uptime connectivity and performance standards.

3. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare detailed inspection reports including:
  • Findings and observations
  • Test results
  • Identified issues and risks
  • Recommendations for corrective action
• Ensure timely submission of reports to the back-office and operations team.

4. Client Engagement & Feedback

• Interact with clients during inspections to gather feedback on service quality and installation experience.
• Document complaints suggestions and service gaps for continuous improvement.

5. Coordination & Issue Resolution

• Work closely with installation technical support and operations teams to communicate findings.
• Follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively and promptly.

6. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure strict adherence to company policies technical standards and safety procedures during all field activities.
• Promote safe working practices across all inspection sites.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on installation procedures network technologies and company service standards.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery quality.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• HND Electrical Engineering Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in field engineering telecom installations or quality assurance (ISP experience is an added advantage).
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure fiber optics and cabling standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and network layouts.

Additional Requirements

• Valid drivers license is required
• Willingness to travel frequently within Lagos and surrounding areas
• Ability to work in field conditions and meet daily inspection targets
