SMT Process Engineer Perm Huntsville, Arkansas

The SMT Process Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation safety compliance and continuous improvement of company facilities. This role leverages a strong background in process engineering specializing in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) to enhance operational workflows ensure equipment reliability and lead the maintenance and facility teams.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Engineering:

1. Utilize process engineering methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to optimize workflow facility layout maintenance workflows and equipment uptime with specialized SMT knowledge.
2. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
3. Develop update and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and facility operations.

Facility Operations & Maintenance:

1. Manage overall facility operations including HVAC utilities mechanical systems electrical infrastructure and building assets.
2. Develop implement and oversee preventive predictive and reliability-centered maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase facility readiness.
3. Ensure facility readiness for production logistics or business operations; maintain compliance with building codes environmental regulations and life-safety requirements.

Maintenance Team Leadership Financial & Resource Management Capital Project Management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Proficiency in maintenance planning tools.
2. Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles.
3. Knowledge of regulatory and safety compliance requirements and building/facility systems.
4. Strong analytical skills with a focus on process optimization and problem-solving.
5. Strong leadership communication and team-building abilities.
6. Ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and work cross-functionally.
7. Project management experience (PMP certification is a plus).

Required Experience and Education:

1. Bachelors degree in Process Engineering Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering Facilities Management or related discipline required.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience with specialized experience maintaining the efficient operation of Surface Mount Technology equipment
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing process engineering and/or facility projects.
4. Prior experience leading teams.

Preferred Licenses Certifications etc. (not required)

1. Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
2. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
3. Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
4. OSHA 30 Certification
5. Project Management Professional (PMP)
