Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic Heavy Truck & Fleet Maintenance (2nd Shift)
Location: Medora IN
Shift: 2:00 PM 12:00 AM (2nd Shift)
Pay: $24$28/hr $2.00 shift differential
We are hiring a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join a fast-paced fleet maintenance team in Medora IN. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician experienced in heavy trucks diesel engines and fleet vehicle repair.
Job Summary
As a Diesel Mechanic you will perform preventative maintenance diagnostics and repairs on fleet vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues complete repairs and maintain accurate service documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and fleet vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical electrical brake air and fluid systems
- Interpret repair manuals wiring diagrams and schematics
- Complete DVIR-based inspections and repair work orders
- Maintain accurate records of labor parts and service activities
- Safely operate tools equipment and service vehicles
- Perform roadside assistance and test drives when required
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Diesel Mechanic experience
- Strong experience with heavy trucks and diesel engine systems
- Ability to read technical manuals schematics and wiring diagrams
- Must have own set of mechanic tools
- Must obtain DOT medical certification before starting
- Strong safety awareness communication and teamwork skills

- Fleet maintenance experience
- Electrical and hydraulic system troubleshooting
- Preventative maintenance program experience
