I-Print is a leading provider of medical record services dedicated to helping healthcare organizations streamline their record-keeping processes. We are currently seeking a Remote Medical Record Specialist to join our team in Blaine MN.
As a Remote Medical Record Specialist you will be responsible for managing and organizing medical records for our clients. This is a part-time position with the option to work remotely from your home office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and organize medical records according to established guidelines and procedures
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of records by verifying patient information and medical history
- Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records at all times
- Identify and report any discrepancies or missing information in medical records
- Communicate with healthcare providers and other parties to obtain missing information or clarify record details
- Utilize electronic medical record systems to input and retrieve information
- Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies for handling medical records
- Meet productivity and quality standards set by the company
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on industry changes and advancements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required associate or bachelors degree in healthcare or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with medical records in a healthcare setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical record management best practices
