This is a high-impact leadership role designed for a seasoned professional who thrives on taking full ownership of architectural documentation and interdisciplinary coordination for high-profile hotel developments nationwide.
In this position you arent just managing drawingsyou are a key technical strategist. You will guide projects from early-stage site planning through the complexities of construction completion serving as a vital bridge between design teams consultants and construction partners. This role offers the unique opportunity to mentor internal talent while driving the execution of sophisticated lodging and guest service facilities within a stable development-led environment.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Project Leadership: Lead the architectural design and documentation lifecycle for new construction and renovation hotel projects ensuring high-quality delivery across all phases.
Technical Documentation & Translation: Oversee the production of clear comprehensive construction documents and specifications translating ambitious design concepts into buildable reality.
Interdisciplinary Integration: Serve as the primary liaison and coordinator between multidisciplinary project teams including structural/MEP consultants contractors and regulatory authorities.
Lifecycle Management: Direct project development from initial site planning and schematic design through design development (DD) and construction documents (CD).
Construction Stewardship: Provide robust construction administration support including shop drawing reviews site visits field issue resolution and rigorous quality control.
Compliance & Innovation: Ensure all projects adhere to building codes ADA requirements and life safety regulations while evaluating new materials and energy-efficient systems to enhance project value.
Operational Excellence: Manage project schedules and deliverables to ensure all milestones are met through effective internal team coaching and consultant accountability.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Active Architectural License (Required).
Experience: 10 years of progressive architectural experience with a proven track record of leading projects through design and construction.
Software Proficiency: Advanced command of Revit and AutoCAD.
Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of building codes ADA requirements and the production/management of construction specifications.
Leadership: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate complex multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Sector Expertise: Specific experience working on Hospitality or Hotel Development projects.
Visualization: Familiarity with SketchUp Photoshop or other professional rendering software.
Project Scaling: Experience managing large-scale project teams and aggressive development schedules.
Field Presence: Deep experience in construction administration and hands-on field coordination.
