Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Philadelphia PA
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract / 36 hours per week / 7pm 7am
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our healthcare team in Philadelphia. The RRT will be responsible for assessing treating and caring for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. This role requires strong clinical judgment attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy aerosol medications and airway management
- Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and other life-support equipment
- Respond to emergency situations including code blue and rapid response events
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC)
- Active state license in Pennsylvania
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred for pediatric settings)
- Minimum 12 years of acute care experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking communication and organizational skills
