The Purpose:
The Czarnowski Collective is growing and we are seeking a Corporate Counsel to support our expanding business! In this role you will have a primary focus on commercial contracts. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders including members of our legal procurement operations and sales teams to draft review and negotiate agreements while balancing business objectives and addition you will play a key role in enabling the business to move quickly and confidently as we expand our relationships with a wide range of customers and vendors.
The Job:
- Review redline and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements includingclient services agreementsrestrictive covenant and confidentiality agreements vendorand subcontractoragreementsvenue agreementsandemploymentagreements
- Support the Legal Teamin managing day-to-day contract workflow and turnaround
- Partner with Sales and Account teams to provide practical business-oriented guidance on contract terms and risk
- Identify and flag legal and contractual risks and propose solutions that align with business objectives
- Gain familiarity with internal and external insurance standards and assist in identifying formulating and addressing coverage obligations
- Apply and help maintain standard contract templates playbooks and fallback positions to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Assist with contract-related disputes and issues as they arise
- Help further develop and maintain a contract repository for managingcontractual renewals and deadlines
- Assist with drafting responses to and maintaining compliance with client and other third party onboarding surveys and assessments
- Escalate complex or non-standard matters to the Assistant General Counsel orCLOas appropriate
The Person:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
- 25 years of relevant legal experience with a strong focus on commercial contract review and negotiation
- Comfortable managing a high volume of contracts with varying complexity and tight turnaround times
- Experience in construction fabrication experiential marketing events or related fields is a plus
- Practical detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Clear and concise communicator who can translate legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders
Illinois Salary and Benefit Statement:
The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Illinois if selected for the role. Any salary offered is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data/ranges applicants skills and prior relevant experience.
Illiniois Salary Range: $120000-$140000
This position is eligible for health care benefits life insurance time off benefits and participation in the Companys 401(k) plan.
