Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position helps ensure smooth compliant and employee-focused HR functions that contribute to a positive and well-organized workplace.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer employee benefits and leave programs including enrollments life events FMLA/ADA and the 403(b) retirement plan
- Serve as a first point of contact for HR inquiries providing responsive confidential and employee-focused support
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding efforts including job postings orientations and required documentation
- Support performance management processes and department-wide HR initiatives and projects
- Maintain accurate HRIS data personnel records and routine reporting to support compliance and decision-making
- Assist with employee engagement activities internal communications and other HR operational needs as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field is required.
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources preferably in a generalist or HR coordinator role.
- SHRM-CP or other equivalent certification is a plus.
- Experience in a seasonal hospitality nonprofit or multi-site environment is a plus but not required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong working knowledge of HR systems and tools including Office 365 Outlook and HRIS
- Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws (FMLA ADA Workers Compensation)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Effective communicator with a professional diplomatic approach to employee interactions
- Proactive problem-solver who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative hands-on HR team
