Location: FinDev Canada headquarters is in downtown Montreal. For the right candidate Ottawa or Toronto will be considered with the flexibility to work under a hybrid model (home/office).

Salary:
o Senior Associate Grade 15: $65172 $86898 plus a performance-based incentive
o Advisor Grade 16: $74297 - $99063 plus a performance-based incentive

Position & Team Overview
FinDev Canada is seeking a Senior Associate/Advisor to support enterprisewide strategic initiatives and corporate strategy development.
This is a unique opportunity for an analytically strong intellectually curious professional interested in strategic problemsolving at the intersection of finance development and public policy. The Senior Associate/Advisor will work alongside senior leadership on some of the organizations most complex and consequential questionshelping diagnose challenges develop strategic options and synthesize insights that shape decisionmaking at the enterprise level.
What Youll Be Doing
Corporate Strategy & Analysis: Research and structure complex strategic questions analyze options and tradeoffs and translate early ideas into decisionready recommendations.
Market Research: Research market sector trends geopolitical and policy trends to inform strategic choices positioning and mediumterm direction.
Policy & External Environment Insight: Monitor and assess policy geopolitical macroeconomic and development finance trends to inform FinDev Canadas strategic positioning.
Strategic Planning & Governance Support: Produce executiveready strategy decks research briefs and benchmarking analysis supporting corporate planning and decisionmaking.
Strategic Initiatives & Alliances Execution: Support delivery of major strategic initiatives and crosssector alliances through research content development analysis and disciplined execution.
Project Management & Communication: coordinate crossteam inputs manage strategic initiatives and produce clear investorgrade written materials for senior and external audiences.
What Were Looking For
MustHaves
- Education: Bachelors degree in business finance economics public policy international development or a related field.
- Experience:
- Senior Associate: minimum 2 years of professional experience in strategy consulting finance public policy or a related field.
- Advisor: minimum of 5 years of professional experience in strategy consulting finance public policy or a related field.
- Demonstrated exposure to strategic analysis research or advisory work.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problemsolving ability with experience structuring ambiguous questions and developing practical insights.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (financial or analytical modeling scenario analysis) and PowerPoint (clear executivelevel materials).
- Communication: Excellent writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear compelling narratives.
- Organization: Strong project management skills attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
NicetoHaves
- Experience or demonstrated interest in development finance global affairs or publicsector strategy.
- Exposure to development finance institutions international organizations or financial institutions.
- Experience supporting senior leadership or governancelevel processes.
