About the position:
The Temporary Warehouse Driver is responsible for performing various task in the warehouse including daily driving routes supporting the HVAC department and ensuring the correct material is pulled and properly transported to jobsite locations. This is a temporary short-term position lasting three months with the possibility of extension.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
Meet with Warehouse Assistant for daily route and delivery location (Marin County or Sonoma County)
Cross check loaded material and equipment to ensure they have the proper items for their route
Deliver to jobsites and drop off material and equipment throughout the day
Check material and equipment with Installation Lead(s) and Project Coordinator to confirm delivery after each drop off
Have Project Coordinator check in with Warehouse Manager for any Initial needs
Drop off any ladders requested by city inspectors
Drop off any needed space heaters to our customers
Check with Warehouse Manager for daily material needs for installation teams based on your location
Follow pre-planned route from Warehouse Manager to pick requested material up
Drop off requested material (Follow the route provided by Warehouse Manager)
During each drop off pick up any trash from the job sites (Check with Installation Lead to ensure you are not taking any material needed for the job)
Check in with Warehouse Manager for any daily needs
Complete dump run when needed
Clean vehicle
Assist with loading material and equipment needed for following day
Be responsive on the phone and via text with supervisors warehouse staff and field teams
Accurately document and turn in receipts daily in accordance with company procedures
Gain working knowledge of preferable supply houses and their typical pricing
Develop local knowledge of commonly available materials and where to source them quickly
Exercise good judgment when responding to urgent material needs in the field (for example choosing the closest suitable supplier rather than driving long distances if a closer option is available)
Proactively relay concerns and feedback from jobsites to supervisors and the management team
Recognize that dump runs are a significant part of the role and plan time and routes accordingly
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):
High school diploma/GED
1-2 years experience in warehouse
Clean driving record
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
