Job Description

Accountant / Payroll Specialist

Take ownership of payroll and accounting in a role where accuracy consistency and trust matter. trak group is seeking an Accountant / Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations while supporting key accounting functions in a stable team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Process weekly payroll and manage payroll tax filings payments and year-end reporting (W-2s)
Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations
Support monthly close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
Maintain accurate records support audits and resolve discrepancies across payroll and financial data

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field OR 5 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of payroll processes taxes and compliance requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
