Our Rare Earths mine at Mt Weld Western Australia is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths deposits in the world and we operate the worlds largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia so youre joining a very unique team! As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas electric vehicles and wind turbines.

Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an experienced WA WHS Senior Training Advisor to support the delivery of high-quality safety training across our Western Australian operations.

This is a dynamic site-based role working across both Mt Weld (primary site) and Kalgoorlie on an 8/6 hybrid roster where you will play a key part in developing and delivering WHS training programs supporting operational teams and driving continuous improvement in safety capability across the business.

This position requires flexibility to travel between sites and support operational requirements including participation during planned high-risk activities such as shutdowns.

As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team you will:

  • Develop and deliver WHS training programs aligned with legislative and operational requirements
  • Record and maintain accurate training data to support real-time reporting to site leaders
  • Deliver Permit to Work and Isolation training including theory mentoring and competency assessments
  • Support the Verification of Competency (VOC) process across key operational areas
  • Contribute to the development implementation and standardisation of WHS processes
  • Assist in coordinating and facilitating externally delivered WHS training
  • Review and update training materials to ensure compliance with current legislation and industry best practices

About You:

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (essential)
  • Valid WA Drivers Licence
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (desirable)
  • Machinery operating competency (desirable)

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a processing or operational environment
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a training role within a chemical or processing facility
  • Proven experience delivering Permit to Work and Isolation training
  • Demonstrated ability to develop training packages and systems
  • Experience using training and/or learning management systems

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of STEMS (Safety Training Employee Management System)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

  • Strong time management and ability to self-manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across site teams
  • Strong attention to detail and reporting capability
  • Solid computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
