Join the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) and play a pivotal role in supporting the people who deliver outcomes that matter for NSW. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Industrial Relations professional to provide trusted advice at a senior level influence complex decisions and make a real impact across a diverse and purposedriven organisation.

As a Senior Industrial Relations Advisor you will be a key member of the Industrial Relations team within People Culture and Safety. Youll provide expert strategic and technical IR advice to senior leaders and managers helping them navigate complex people matters drive change and achieve positive fair and lawful outcomes.

Youll lead and manage industrial disputes appear in tribunals interpret awards and legislation and work closely with unions and other stakeholdersall while balancing competing priorities in a fastpaced environment.

About You

Youre a confident resilient and ethical industrial relations professional who thrives in complex environments bringing highlevel knowledge of IR legislation policies and practices alongside proven experience delivering clientfocused advice within large or multifaceted organisations. You offer demonstrated experience in industrial advocacy before tribunals strong negotiation and consultation capabilityincluding effective engagement with unionsand exceptional stakeholder management judgement and communication skills with the ability to remain calm balanced and solutionsfocused under pressure.

Essential Requirements

  • High level knowledge of IR legislation policies practices and strategies
  • Experience in implementing client focused IR strategies programs and services including the delivery of presentations to management and staff
  • Experience in industrial advocacy before industrial tribunals
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking successful consultations/negotiations with external stakeholders including unions other Government Sector agencies and employment law specialists
