The role
In this role you will design build and enhance digital applications that support key services across the Department. Youll work within a high-performing collaborative and diverse team closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into practical scalable solutions while ensuring applications meet technical standards security requirements and user expectations.
You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle from analysing business requirements and designing solutions through to development testing deployment optimisation and ongoing support. As a full stack developer you will work across a diverse technology portfolio (modern and legacy frameworks) Angular React MS SQL and JSON/XML-based integrations delivering cloud-native solutions APIs and enterprise applications. You will apply modern engineering practices including source control automated testing CI/CD pipelines secure coding and cloud-based deployment approaches while contributing to the modernisation of existing platforms. Along the way youll help uplift capability within the team by sharing knowledge mentoring developers and adapting to evolving business priorities and technology landscapes.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated full stack development experience with strong proficiency (including legacy 4.x frameworks) Angular React and a solid understanding of MS SQL RESTful APIs JSON and XML data structures
- Proven UI/UX capability with hands-on experience building responsive accessible (WCAG 2.2 compliant) and user-centred digital services using modern front-end technologies such as Angular or React TypeScript HTML5 CSS3 advanced CSS styling techniques responsive web design and component-based design systems.
- Exposure to low-code development platforms such as OutSystems and Microsoft Power Platform including the ability to evaluate integrate or develop solutions using these technologies would be advantageous
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions including system design integrations and user interfaces
- Hands-on expertise across modern development platforms and tooling including Visual Studio GitHub Copilot and GitHub Advanced Security with experience delivering web and intranet applications
- Experience working across both greenfield development and the enhancement and optimisation of established enterprise applications applying modern practices to extend their value and longevity
- Experience working with DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD pipelines version control testing and Agile delivery approaches
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
What is an essential requirement:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience
- Industry-recognised certification in DevOps cloud or application architecture or willingness to obtain within six (6) months
