In this dynamic role you wont just dispense eyewear-youll be a key part of a collaborative care team supporting patients from check-in to checkout while making a meaningful impact in your community.

What Youll Do
Optician Responsibilities
Help patients select frames and lenses that fit their needs and lifestyle
Take precise measurements to ensure proper fit and vision correction
Adjust repair and dispense eyewear
Educate patients on lens options and proper care
Manage optical inventory and coordinate orders
Clinical Support (Optometry Assistant)
Prepare patients for exams and assist the optometrist
Perform preliminary vision testing (training provided as needed)
Maintain clean organized exam rooms
Accurately document patient information in the EHR
Front Desk Support (Reception Backup)
Greet patients and create a welcoming environment
Schedule appointments and manage clinic flow
Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries
Verify patient information while maintaining strict confidentiality

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Optical healthcare or customer service experience preferred
Optician certification (preferred but not required). Willing to train the right candidate.
Experience with EHR systems is a plus

Veterans who meet the minimum qualifications and provide documentation of an honorable discharge (DD214) from any branch of military service are entitled to receive preference points during the interview process.
Any offer of employment is contingent upon a negative drug test reference checks and background check. Refusal to undergo required testing or testing positive will render the applicant ineligible for employment.
