Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Correctional Facility
Location: Moravia NY 13118
Contract Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift & Schedule:
- Night Shift: 10:00 PM 6:00 AM
- 5x8-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care within a secure correctional environment. This role involves direct clinical care emergency response and maintaining accurate medical documentation while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sick calls and triage patient concerns
- Administer medications including insulin
- Respond to medical emergencies (e.g. Narcan administration asthma attacks injury care)
- Maintain and update patient health records and reports
- Complete incident reporting for injuries and critical events
- Perform health screenings and coordinate care as needed
- Support administrative and compliance-related functions
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license State of New York (Required)
- Ability to pass a background check
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Strong clinical judgment documentation and emergency response skills
