KBR is offering an exciting opportunity for a current college student to participate in a Summer Internship with our Mission Technology Solutions (MTS) Shared Services Team. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager Accounts Payable the intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support high-impact mission-critical solutions for U.S. Government customers while developing professionally and gaining hands-on experience in finance and accounting.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support Accounts Payable functions within the Huntsville AL Shared Services organization with a focus on global disbursements and related reporting activities
• Perform financial analysis accounting and reporting tasks under the guidance and mentorship of senior team members
• Participate in functional projects aimed at improving or streamlining processes within assigned areas
• Analyze develop and document opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
• Apply analytical thinking and communication skills to document work performed and recommend solutions
• Communicate effectively with team members supervisors and business stakeholders
• Provide general support across finance and accounting functions as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Accounting Finance or a related field
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in finance or accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.
