Lead Teacher Attraction Programs

At the NSW Department of Education we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood through schooling to vocational education and training.

  • Temporary Full-Time up to 12 months (with the possibility of extension)
  • Located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available
  • Competitive salary of $129464 to $142665 pa plus superannuation and leave loading

About the role

As the Lead Teacher Attraction Programs you will lead a high-performing team of marketing specialists to deliver innovative campaigns and initiatives that promote teaching as a career attract future teachers to NSW public schools and communicate the teacher value proposition of the NSW Department of Education.

You will drive the planning delivery and evaluation of targeted teacher attraction programs promoting career opportunities for teachers in NSW public schools. Working across a range of owned and earned channels including web CRM EDM social media and podcast platforms you will ensure campaigns are compelling data-informed and aligned to strategic workforce priorities.

In this role you will balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will oversee workflows set priorities and support your team to deliver high-quality campaigns and engagement activities on time and on message. You will work in partnership with internal stakeholders and external partners to shape and deliver campaigns that are informed targeted and deliver against workforce attraction objectives.

As a collaborative and forward-thinking leader you will foster a culture of innovation continuous improvement and accountability. You will use data and insights to evaluate program effectiveness identify opportunities and enhance outcomes ensuring initiatives remain responsive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Your leadership will play a critical role in strengthening teacher pipelines supporting workforce priorities and helping ensure every student in NSW has access to a great teacher.

About you

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams to deliver impactful marketing communications or program outcomes.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in fast-paced deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience designing delivering and evaluating multi-channel campaigns with strong project management skills and a data-informed adaptable approach to continuous improvement.

Key Knowledge and Experience

Essential requirements of the role

  • Currently hold or be willing to obtain a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check).
  • Willingness and ability to undertake interstate and intrastate travel to meet delivery requirements of projects.
  • Hold a valid drivers licence (provisional or above)
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires as long as you remain in a nonchild-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
