Job Summary
The Manufacturing Industrialization Engineer is responsible for developing the tooling equipment and production processes required to transition products from lowârate to fullârate manufacturing. This role focuses on industrialization making processes robust repeatable efficient and scalable. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with handsâon manufacturing experience and the ability to design validate and implement productionâready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Industrialization & Production Readiness
- Lead the transition of products from prototype/lowârate to fullârate manufacturing.
- Develop robust repeatable processes that support throughput quality and safety.
- Identify and eliminate sources of variation inefficiency and instability in production.
- Ensure tooling equipment and workflows are capable of meeting fullârate demand.
Tooling & Equipment Engineering
- Evaluate redesign and develop tooling (molds fixtures jigs handling tools) for fullârate production.
- Specify build or procure production equipment and automation solutions.
- Work with machine shops and vendors to fabricate modify or repair tooling and equipment.
- Validate tooling performance on the shop floor and implement improvements.
Process & Layout Development
- Analyze and design production layouts material flow and workspace arrangements.
- Develop processes that minimize handling reduce cycle time and improve ergonomics.
- Integrate tooling and equipment into efficient scalable workflows.
- Support operator training and documentation for new or revised processes.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturability reduce waste and enhance reliability.
- Support focused improvement efforts with crossâfunctional teams.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
CrossâFunctional Collaboration
- Provide industrialization feedback to Product Engineering for future product launches.
- Work closely with production quality and maintenance teams to ensure smooth implementation of tooling and process changes.
- Coordinate with suppliers to source or develop tooling equipment and automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Manufacturing Industrial or related engineering field; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience with tooling design (composite tooling experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes material flow and production scaling.
- Handsâon experience validating tooling and implementing process changes.
- Proficiency with CAD software.
Eligibility
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements. An individual must therefore be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15. US Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
Compensation
Compensation for this role will be determined based on relevant experience education and skills. Base compensation for this role begins at $90k.
