TITLE: Administrative Assistant III Part-Time
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: .50 FTE/12-months
SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Classified
GENERAL STATEMENT of RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Administrative Assistant III Part-timewillassistthe Finance Departmentinmaintainingfinancial recordsforthe Career & Technician Education Department andisan integral part in thesuccessfuloperation of the districtscompliancewiththe rules and regulations set forth by the Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR).
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Performs a variety of clerical duties(filing organization)inproviding assistance tostaff and administrators as needed.
- Assistsinmaintainingproper audit trail and checks & balances;assistsauditors asrequired.
- Assistsin providing processing andreconciling accounting information for school and district staff members.
- Performs basic office procedures andother relatedtasks asassigned by Supervisor.
- Assistswith all travel related activities including coordinatingreservingand securing reservationsaccommodationsand other travel related expenses.
- Reviews andverifiesthe accuracy and completeness of purchases and supporting documentation.
- Reconcilecredit card purchase orders and credit card purchases for all career and technical education funding sources.
- Maintain organized records of invoicespaymentsand other documentation.
- Work closely with other Business Office staff and Administrators to ensure all career and technical education expenses are compliant with Federal and State audit requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting software.
- 1-3 years ofaccounting or financeexperience in a school settingpreferred.
- Associate degree in Accounting Finance or related fieldpreferred.
OCCUPATIONAL CONDITION:
Low Risk - Work is routinely performed in indoor environments including exposure to noise and being on your feet for extended periods of time.
