Description

The Casualty Broker will play a vital role in our London Placement Team working closely with clients and insurers to develop tailored insurance strategies. This role demands a strategic mindset excellent client management skills and a deep understanding of the insurance landscape to structure and price complex solutions.

The successful candidate will drive placement strategies ensuring compliance with internal standards and expert utilization of broking systems and ability to collaborate effectively across teams to deliver tailored client solutions in a fast-paced global environment. As part of the team you will:

The Role :

  • Understand a client or prospects business situations opportunities problems and key issues
  • Manage relationships and negotiate placements with the insurance market
  • Work with Account Executives and Sales Team in determining appropriate solutions and structuring and pricing the deal
  • Identify appropriate markets and determine placing strategy
  • Create and grow relationships with underwriters in London and international markets
  • Some experience in pricing and designing conceptual programmes
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Willis Towers Watson guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure good relationships and communication with other Willis Towers Watson associates
  • A thorough understanding and an expert real time user for all relevant systems including Broking Platform


Responsibilities
  • Assess client business needs and develop tailored insurance solutions.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with insurers negotiating terms and conditions.
  • Structure and price complex insurance products ensuring competitiveness.
  • Drive placement strategies across global markets considering regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and best practices in insurance broking.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of broking systems and their efficient utilization.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share market insights and best practices.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to clients on placement progress.
  • Conduct regular reviews of insurer performance and market trends.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes.


Qualifications

What youll bring:

  • A proven track record in Insurance Broking or Underwriting is essential

  • Strong knowledge of insurance products especially in casualty lines.

  • Must be prepared to work with integrity and openness complying at all times with FCA requirements.

  • Excellent client management and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency in using broking systems and data analysis tools.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.

  • Good IT skills with excellent Excel usage capability

  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and regulations.

  • Team player with a collaborative approach to work.

  • Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification
