As the Regional Dental Director you will oversee clinical operations quality of care and staff performance across multiple dental suites located within the facility sites of the within the Alabama Department of Corrections.
Responsibilities
The Regional Dental Director is the liaison between corporate leadership and the facility sites responsible for overseeing the dental program and ensuring quality dental care is provided to protect the rights dignity and health of our unique patient population. Responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
- Oversee clinical protocols audit charts ensure compliance with OSHA HIPAA and state board regulations and drive patient first standards.
- Train coach and evaluate lead dentists and clinical staff to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Analyze financial data to improve practice performance collaborate with operations teams and manage staffing.
- Participate in recruitment onboarding of new providers and ensure overall region success.
- Provide direct patient care to support practices within the region
Qualifications
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or equivalent
- Experience in clinical dentistry and correctional settings preferred
- Valid active unrestricted dental license in Alabama
- Current DEA registration
- Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
- Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds including those with mental health or substance abuse issues
- Display integrity professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies procedures and legal requirements
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- Technical skills in providing a full range of dental services
- Knowledge of applicable laws regulations and industry standards
- Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Must pass the facilitys criminal background check and drug screening
