Job Summary
Work Shift:
Operate electrocardiography equipment to record the electromotive variations in heart muscle actions; assist in the coding filing and distribution of EKG data. Assist in emergency situations by initiating and/or assisting in emergency procedures prescribed by Emory Healthcare policies.Education & Training:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
None
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Upon completion of training period may
attempt to satisfy requirements to become a Certified Cardiograph Technician as set forth by the National Society of Cardiovascular Testing and Cardiology
Credentialing International. Successful completion of an HHC Basic Rhythm
Interpretation Course or CLEP Exam within nine (9) months of hire.
D. Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of diagnostic equipment and office supplies.
