Job Summary

Role Summary

The Calibration Technician is responsible for maintaining testing and repairing a variety of instruments and equipment to ensure accurate measurements and compliance with industry standards. This position requires attention to detail a solid understanding of technical specifications and adherence to quality safety and environmental policies.

Job Details

  • Position Type: Hourly Full Time

  • 1st Shift Monday Friday 5AM-1:30PM

  • Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00/hour depending on experience

  • Work Location: Metform

  • Reports to: Continuous Improvement Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate calibration of a variety of instruments and devices according to detailed drawings technical specifications and established procedures

  • Identify troubleshoot and correct measurement errors or discrepancies to ensure precision and reliability in instrument readings

  • Accurately compile record and maintain calibration data and test results for each instrument ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements

  • Follow all quality safety environmental and operational policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to 5S practices (Sort Set in Order Shine Standardize Sustain)

  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvements and contribute to the efficient operation of the calibration department

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Skills/Competencies

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of calibration processes measurement systems and instrumentation

  • Strong focus on accuracy and precision in measurements data recording and documentation

  • Ability to identify issues with equipment or processes and take corrective actions

  • Basic verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting

  • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills for calibration calculations and measurements

  • Comfortable working with hands-on tasks including adjusting instruments and assembling/disassembling parts

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals drawings and work instructions.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Education: High School

  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in calibration maintenance or a related technical field or a combination of education and experience

  • Ability to perform basic calibration work under direct supervision with the opportunity to take on more complex tasks as experience is gained.
