Your Role and Responsibilities

The Application Manager is responsible for ensuring stable operation maintenance and governance of business-critical applications.

You will work closely with business teams IT stakeholders and global support teams to ensure applications run efficiently while driving continuous improvement and vendor coordination.

Ensure stable operation and maintenance of business applications in Japan

Manage application health through security updates governance compliance and documentation updates

Lead vendors for BAU activities including enhancements issue management and change management

Collaborate with business and IT teams to prioritize and manage BAU workloads

Manage vendor contracts licenses and service delivery performance

Support adoption of new technologies and business applications

Work across global teams and stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment

Experience and Qualifications

University degree or specialized education

Business-level Japanese proficiency basic English skills

5 years of experience in application support maintenance or production operations

5 years of experience across full SDLC (requirements design development testing release)

Experience in open-source application operations and maintenance

Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking basics

Experience with Java APIs Angular JSP AWS (preferred)

Experience with SaaS platforms like Salesforce (preferred)

Experience in insurance or financial services industry (preferred)

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Proactive mindset with strong ownership and adaptability

Strong application support and operational understanding

Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and vendors

Strong problem-solving and multitasking ability

Excellent communication (written and verbal)

Ability to work independently and drive execution

Flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment
