Job Summary
The drivers role is to professionally represent OCASA Life Sciences to its customers in a safe courteous and professional manner. The driver is given pickup and delivery assignments for cargo that must be picked up at customer site or delivered to customer site or airline as scheduled.
Responsibilities:
- Operate all vehicles and equipment safely.
- Inspect the vehicle prior shift using the van inspection report.
- Complete Run sheet with pick-up and delivery stops and record mileage on both.
- Verify airway bill numbers against delivery records making sure all shipments are accounted for.
- Maintain company van clean discard trash keep supplies rolled up and secured in Van.
- Refuel the vehicle with fuel card and turn in card and receipt for record keeping.
- Record all Airway bills and tracking numbers associated with any pickup/deliveries that are handled.
- Record all airport pickups and customer deliveries using internal communication tools.
- Keep Vehicle always locked when not being used.
- All boxes (kits) being picked up at the customer location that are not DG must be bagged taped or sealed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Valid Drivers license (CDL not required) with a clean driving record
- Skilled in operating a 22-foot cargo van.
- Demonstrates strong communication abilities and effective client engagement skills.
- Pays close attention to details
- At least one year of experience in cargo or delivery driving is required.
- Capable of bending and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Setting:
- The driver will be driving in different weather conditions including rain snow etc.
- Schedules are rotative operation based and are not steady.
- Flexibility is required on weekends and holidays as necessary.
