Job Purpose

The Job purpose is to execute processes related to Vendor (Supplier) Master maintenance in the Master Data Centre of Excellence a function within the FORCE Master Data department.

The function is to deliver the Vendor Master data operations of Hindalco efficiently as per the guidelines set for the process within the expected service levels.

Vendor masters are a very critical data element for managing the procurement and finance processes of Hindalco. The purpose of this job is to manage Vendor Master data maintenance with utmost control and hygiene.

The purpose is to maintain the complete lifecycle of Vendor Master data from creation to modification and retirement.

The function shall ensure that all statutory compliance requirements and controls specified in the SOP are followed enabling transactions to be executed efficiently.

The role requires complete familiarity with the ERP and other technologies on which the Vendor master data maintenance is sought to be executed.

The role shall be guided by the Team Manager Vendor Master data maintenance on policies procedures technology service levels and data quality standards and expected to follow the same diligently without any deviation.

Vendor Master Data Quality

• Execute data quality assessments as per standards
• Ensure that there are no deviations from established quality standards for vendor master data maintenance

Vendor Master Data update - timeliness

• Updating Vendor master data records and components in a timely manner as per agreed service levels
• Ensure that there are no variances from the standards laid down for vendor master data maintenance

Vendor Master Data Lifecycle management

• Periodic review of vendor master data for compliance to standards.
• Retire vendor master data that do not comply with laid down standards or are not in use.
• Obtain requisite approvals or additional data from vendor data component owners.

Execute Vendor Master data ownership and review guidelines

• Execute Vendor Master data creation in adherence to DOA
• Execute processes as per Vendor Master Data Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Execute periodic review of Vendor Master data governance guidelines to ensure compliance
• Document issues noticed during the Vendor Master Data management process and record mitigating actions

Vendor Master Data - Communication

• Effective communication to get as well as provide the Vendor Master data updates to requestors and consuming teams
• Maintain records of vendor master data requests received completion and communication.
