About the opportunity
The Broken Hill University Department of Rural Health (BHUDRH) part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health is seeking an experienced Administration Lead to provide leadership within the professional team. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape and streamline administrative functions while supporting the delivery of high-quality education and student placement programs in rural and remote communities.
Reporting to the School Manager the Administration Lead will oversee the Executive Assistant staff and manage operational and governance functions across the School. You will play a key role in coordinating student placement agreements secretariat duties stakeholder communications and ad-hoc projects that support the Schools strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- lead the development implementation and management of student placement agreements MOUs and related administrative arrangements with internal and external partners.
- provide high-level secretariat support for committees including scheduling agenda preparation minute-taking and follow-up on actions.
- supervise and mentor the Executive Assistant to the Head of BHUDRH ensuring seamless team operations.
- coordinate operational challenges address staff and stakeholder enquiries and maintain a culture of collaboration responsiveness and trust.
- support reporting compliance and data management initiatives in collaboration with the School Manager.
- contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required to support the Schools evolving priorities.
About You
You are a proactive well-organised and trustworthy professional with strong administrative and leadership experience. You thrive in a dynamic rural education environment and are confident managing multiple priorities while supporting staff stakeholders and senior executives.
You will bring:
- proven experience in administrative leadership including contract/agreement management and committee support.
- strong planning organisation and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- excellent communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
- experience interpreting and applying policies and familiarity with records and data management systems.
