JOB GOAL:
To provide students with a safe attractive comfortable clean and efficient place in which to learn play and develop.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEssential functions as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act may include any of the following representative duties knowledge and skills. Employees are required to be in attendance and prepared to begin work at their assigned work location on the specified days and hours. Factors such as regular attendance at the job are not routinely listed in job descriptions but are an essential function. Essential duties and responsibilitiesmayinclude but are not limited to the following:
1. Performs all tasks of the custodians as required.
2. Plans and implements under the supervision of the principal an effective cleaning program for the school to include a work schedule for the custodial department.
3. Assists the principal in the evaluation of the custodial program and custodial employees at the school.
4. Assists custodians with solutions to special cleaning problems.
5. Inspects as required areas of the school and recommends corrective custodial action as necessary.
6. Is on call at the discretion of the principal to handle emergencies as they arise.
7. Works effectively and cooperatively with other supervisors including maintenance grounds and warehouse to solve custodial problems in the building.
8. Assists the Principal in preparing the custodian and capital equipment budget.
9. Determines proper inventory level of custodial supplies and orders as required.
10. Performs minor maintenance as required.
11. Keeps abreast of new equipment operation techniques and procedures related to custodial management.
12. Performs other related duties as required by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required.Please submit copy of diploma or certificate.
2. Ability to lift average to heavy weights bend stoop reach and climb.
3. Two years previous experience in supervisory capacity preferred.
4. Mechanical aptitude and experience in building maintenance preferred.

Custodians-day and night shift
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
12-month work year. Salary and benefits as established by the Board.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
