Truss Designer / Sales (Confidential) Sioux Falls SD Area
A growing building components manufacturer is seeking a Truss Designer / Sales professional to support design and customer-facing responsibilities related to wood roof and floor trusses along with engineered wood products.
This is a well-rounded role ideal for someone who can balance technical design work with customer interaction while operating in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design wood roof and floor truss systems and assist with engineered wood product layouts
- Interpret blueprints architectural drawings and structural plans
- Communicate directly with customers to support project needs and resolve issues
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timelines
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow from design through production
What Were Looking For:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-starter with the ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities
- Solid problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships
- Experience in the truss industry or broader construction environment is a plus
- Exposure to truss design software (MiTek Alpine or similar) is a plus
