Assistant Vice President, Finance Health

This position is responsible forallcashmanagementaccounting budgetingfinancial reporting accounts payablepayroll purchasing business forecasting and coordination of internal and external role ensures the integrity of interim and year-end financial statements andreports; serves asthe senior financial contact for the year-end external financial audit and all DSO activities related to USF; facilitates and supports periodic internal audit studies and reviews; and serves as liaison to the Senior VP of Finance for USFTGP. Finally this position is responsible for the coordination of funds flow activities and reconciliation and participates in negotiations related to the funds flow and other contracts as part of the Senior Management team.

Manages through the Directors of Finance and Budgeting all general accounting budgeting financial reporting audit accounts payable payroll and purchasing functions and activities cash management and contract receivable management. Serves as primary contact for all banking activity and security of banking transactions.

Coordinates UMSAs compliance andreportingrequirements including butnotlimitedto tax exempt filings 990s Sarbanes Oxley etc. Directs manages supervises andparticipates inthepreparation ofallfinancial statements and reports in compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies. Coordinates the preparation offinancialstatements financial reports specialanalyses andotherreportsas required by USF Health with Internal Audit to support periodic Internal Audit Studies and Reviews. Serves as the Senior Financial contact for the year end external audit. Serves as Senior Financial contact for DSO activities related to USF. Oversees the approval and processing of revenue expenditure and position control documentsdepartmentbudgetsledgeraccountmaintenance anddataentry.

Acts as a senior advisor to the CEO of UMSA the Deans Office and the Clinical Department data and support for the administrative business planning accounting budgeting and ASF payroll processes for coordinates and evaluates the financial reporting systems ofUMSA toincludetax planning andtheconservation ofassets. Approvesand coordinates changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for UMSA.

Develop and Implement accounting systems policies and procedures which assure a strong system of Internal controls. Publish and maintain corporate and developmental accounting monthly budgeted income statement journal entries reconciliations and checklists to ensure the proper functional of accounting and administrative controls.

Works collaborativelywithallother functional areas of USFUSFHealth TGHandUSFTGP including but not limited to USF Health Business Office Information Technology Human Resources Clinical Operations Patient Access Quality Safety & Risk Compliance Patient Experience Data & Analytics Facilities Revenue Cycle and Managed Care. Serves as the primary financial contact for the Funds Flow and Reconciliation processes with USFTGP and TGH.

Assures compliance with local state and federal financial reporting requirements. Provides support andcoordination andpresentstotheFinanceInternal AuditInvestmentExecutiveCommitteesofthe UMSABoard ofDirectors as well as AMG Board of Directors.

Requires a CPA or Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of 10 years of related exempt level experience including seven years of managerial experience preferably in large complex institutions or organizations. Requires experience in leading multiple teams projects programs and/or functions.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent Excel skills along with all other MS Office Suite programs including PowerBI; experience in strategic planning contracting negotiating and change management; and strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
