Location: Cape Town (Hybrid / On-site depending on team requirements)

About the Role

You will play a key role in designing developing and maintaining robust data solutions across SQL Server and Azure-based technologies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full data lifecycle from data ingestion and transformation to reporting and analytics while ensuring high performance reliability and scalability.

You will work closely with developers analysts and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions in a dynamic agile environment.

Requirements

What Youll Be Doing

• Developing and optimising high-quality SQL code and database solutions
  
• Building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS and Azure Data Factory
  
• Supporting and enhancing existing data workflows and reporting systems
  
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  
• Ensuring data integrity validation and reliability across systems
  
• Working within an Agile SDLC environment
  
• Implementing CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps
  
• Troubleshooting and improving production data processes
  

What You Bring

• 510 years experience in SQL development database engineering and Microsoft data technologies
  
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • SQL Server (2016 or newer)
    
  • SSIS SSRS SSAS
    
  • Azure Data Factory
    
  • Azure DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
    
• Solid Power BI experience (reports dashboards semantic models)
  
• Strong understanding of SDLC and agile delivery environments
  
• Experience with data troubleshooting optimisation and performance tuning
  
• Strong scripting ability (advantageous)
