Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Travel/Contract

Location: Lubbock TX

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: All shifts available
• Schedule Type: Block Scheduling (Required)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (48 hours not approved)
• Weekend Requirement: 6 shifts every 6 weeks
• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: Not required
• Orientation: 40 hours (Non-billable)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join a fast-paced 379-bed Level II Trauma Center. This role requires strong clinical judgment the ability to handle high-acuity patients and adaptability in a dynamic emergency department setting.

Key Details

• Unit: Emergency Services East
• Patient Ratio: 1:3

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments triage and prioritize care based on acuity
• Provide emergency nursing care for trauma acute illness and injury cases
• Initiate and manage life-saving interventions in critical situations
• Administer medications IV therapies and blood products safely
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Operate emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors ventilators and defibrillators
• Document patient care accurately per hospital standards
• Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge plans
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
• Support trauma and code response teams

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ER experience (Required)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Required Certifications

• TNCC
• NIH Stroke Certification
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
