About the Position
Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Process Safety - MOC Coordinator to join the Health Safety & Environment team. Reporting to the Workforce Safety Team Lead this role will be based in Chevrons office in Bengaluru.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and steward a quality assurance process for MOC execution. Develop a quality checklist and apply it to the process of auditing MOC workflows.
Coordinate and facilitate temporary and permanent MOC reviews across the Enterprise.
Conduct routine quality checks at each MOC stage that covers proper change description justification attached documents completed functional reviews with checklists and action items closed action items with documentation completed Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) and MOC closeout ensuring updated documentationwith ongoing improvements planned for the process.
Following each review document identified potential gaps or improvement opportunities and communicate feedback to the relevant parties (e.g. MOC Lead Functional Reviewers PSSR Lead and DM&C MOC Specialists).
Support the deployment of the new Enterprise MOC tool including developing and facilitating training managing user inquiries and access requests and developing a Power BI dashboard that can be used to clearly review data available from the tool.
Ensure compliance with OEMS elements regulatory standards and MOC-specific protocols.
Support the effort of improving MOC competency across the workforce through trend monitoring and facilitating training as needed on the Enterprise MOC Process and implementation of the Enterprise MOC Standard.
Oversee training for MOC roles including Corporate CBT and system-specific modules.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and integrate lessons learned into MOC practices.
Collaborate with engineering operations and HSE teams to ensure alignment on safety and change objectives.
Participate in Process Safety and MOC Communities of Practice (CoP) to share best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Chemical Mechanical Safety Engineering or related field.
8 years of experience in process safety or MOC coordination within oil & gas operations.
Strong knowledge of OEMS frameworks risk assessment methodologies and regulatory compliance.
Excellent organizational analytical and communication skills.
Familiarity with Chevron MOC procedures and OE governance.
Experience in risk screening PSSR facilitation and change verification.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
Proficiency in digital tools for MOC tracking and reporting (e.g. OE Impact VisiumKMS Sphera iMOC Power BI dashboard).
Strong collaboration and mentoring skills within engineering and HSE teams.
